Originally released in 1953 to commemorate Tissot's 100 year anniversary,the Tissot Visodate was a particular milestone of that era for integrating a date display into the automatic mechanism and the new watch presents this feature in a contemporary design . The domed sapphire crystal covers the lightly curved dial , displaying the proven Tissot expertise in bringing the latest techniques and materials to traditional Swiss watch making. The day and date display along with the historical Tissot logo are on the 40mm case that adds a classical character of the watch , and a see through back to let the viewer admire the ETA 2836-2 movement with a power reserve of 42 hours.

The four variation of the Tissot Visodate 1957 Automatic accommodate current tastes and trends with modern materials and finished . Two models have classical silver colored stainless steel cases and two get a fashionable twist with the state of the art PVD coating .
